New publication: Women and Gender Equality in Finnish Development Cooperation How does Finland promote gender equality as a part of development policy and cooperation? A new brochure on "Women and Gender Equality in Finnish Development Cooperation" has been published and is available in English. The publication is meant for everyone interested in Finland's activities in promoting gender equality as a part of development cooperation and for professionals in the field. It also offers through concrete examples an insight to Finnish experience on promoting gender equality. The promotion of the rights and status of women and girls and the promotion of gender and social equality are cross-cutting objectives in Finnish development policy and cooperation. Gender equality is promoted through mainstreaming, targeted actions and political dialogue.
